Justin, Emily and Ella. Plus, cute dogs and a gorgeous home.
Their older dog, Riley, got to have his own shoot. The little guy isn’t doing super great and they wanted to document him around the house. He was such a sweetie.

Last week I received an out of the blue call from one of my oldest friends, Stacia. We grew up around the corner from each other and were fast friends starting in Elementary school (go Kuehnle Koalas!) Through tears, Stacia was calling to let me know that she’d been diagnosed with Stage III, Triple Negative Breast Cancer and wanted to book a family session prior to starting chemo and losing her hair. The weight of this news and request was not light on me, and on Saturday I did my best to capture a peak into her and Daniel’s life with their two children, Levi (3) and Sloan (3 months). These are some of my favorites from the morning.
Stacia – the Fontenots are with and for you! If you happen to know Stacia (or even if you don’t and you just want to join in the fight against this hated disease), you can support her by purchasing one of these shirts. All proceeds with go to cancer research via MD Anderson in Stacia’s honor. Go kick it’s ass, girl!

Brother and sister Miles and Tara wanted to wear their Aspire Soccer Club kits to wrap up their shoot. I ate it up! They played and I only made them stop twice for these two portraits – my favorites from the my shoot with them.

Yesterday we popped bottles for nine years of marriage and a little BABY GIRL that’s gonna wreck our hearts come March!
I am much less terrified than I once was to have a daughter and I can hardly handle the thought of how great of a father Mark will be to one. It was such a perfect anniversary gift to have our 18 week ultrasound this week. We’re toasting (half glass for me) to a great report and this marriage that is my very favorite thing. In the words of Ted Mosby, “love is the best thing we do.” Let’s keep at it, babe.
